My name is Nigel Hamilton, and I have worked for nearly 3 decades in inland waterways tourism in England and Wales.

I set up H & H Narrowboat Hotels in the mid 1990’s, building and operating the award winning Hotel Boats Hind & Hart.

Prior to this I worked in Hospitality, in the UK, USA and Australia, including Management roles for Swallow Hotels , part of the Vaux Group

I have extensive expereince in the charity sector: for 14 years I was a Trustee of the Saltisford Canal Trust in Warwick, mostly as Chairman. We opearted day hire & as a trip boat Saltie II, visitor centre, meeting room, sculpture garden and managed moorings for about 40 narrowboats in a landscaped canal arm in the historic town.

I have extensive experience working in Trade Associations and over a 20 year period, at various times I have served as:
